Windows 7 and missing msvcr80.dll error
Hello folks, getting this message on startup:
The program can't start because MSVCR80.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
Apps causing this error: ATTCM.EXE. I did have this problem with ITunes and Quicktime, also.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the apps that are causing this problem, but it keeps coming back. I have tried several things I found concerning Quicktime and Itunes, but no luck.
I have tried Windows 7 boot repair also.
Any ideas?

I tried everything on that page and the pages that people referenced, still did not fix it. Very frustrated.
I give up.

Assuming your windows is installed in c:\windows
Find the dll on your computer and copy it in the windows\system32 folder.
Open a command prompt and
CD C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (if not already there)
REGSVR32 MSVCR80.DLL
Alternatively download and install the VC++2008 redistributable. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Choose the right version for your system (x86 for 32bit, x64 for 64bit)
