    comp cleaner

Hi, I just had windows XP re installed due to a grandson who downloaded an exe file and subsequently lost all my old files. One program I really liked was a
file cleaner that cleaned both windows explorer and Firefox . I originally got it for free, trouble is I can't remember the name and of course I didn't make a back up copy. Any suggestions?? Thank you

    CCleaner ?

edit: I would also recommend Spybot Search and Destroy - really gets some crap removed.

Both can be got safely at MajorGeeks I believe.

    Thumbs up

CCleaner is a good bit of free software. Available directly from www.ccleaner.com

It allows secure deletion of files to various standards. It'll clean up a lot more than just Firefox and Explorer if you let it!
