It's a legend for all the wrong reasons. People want this, they have waited for it, they have hoped for it and have had their hopes crushed.. many..many..many times. While people have been waiting for this, the following events have occurred:

Every single "Sims" game has been produced and released
ATI and nVidia has released the following lines of graphics cards; TNT, RAGE, Radeon and GeForce
Britney Spears' entire musical career as a pop star has taken place
Stephen King has written 16 novels.
The Voyager 1 spacecraft has traveled 8.8 billion miles from Earth

The following took less time then the coming of this Legend.

Alexander The Great's conquest of Persia
Julius Caesar's conquest of Gaul
The United States' entire program to put a man on the moon, from Kennedy's challenge to the landing.

It's been said many times that pigs will fly first.

At first I thought you were making a Bruce Campbell reference, but once I started reading I realized I was only half right. I say half right because a majority of the phrases in the game came from lines he said in the Necronomicon series. Still it's cool knowing they intend on making a sequel.

You have to wonder if (assuming it actually ships) it won't be an automatic disappointment after lo, these many years of waiting. I mean, some folks are going to expect God's Own Game, while others just don't care much anymore.

I still keep a Dell® GX280 with Windows 98 on it to play this, Hexen, Doom, Doom 2, and Empire. Hmm... Speaking of which, I think it is high time for a marathon tonight.
