Sound Blaster Live! Value ..Windows ME.. Asus CUSL2 Motherboard
Problem: Sound no sound output
The Sound Blaster Live! value (unknown board version will expand info tomorrow) is not working correctly. I just reformatted client's computer, and clean installed into Windows ME. Installed Live!Ware 3.0 Windows ME drivers. Sound not working. Client did say something about the assembler of her computer and her card being "defective", but previously, before reformatting, the card worked fine under Windows 98 SE.
No sound out of front or rear analog channel.
In "Volume control" the spectrum analyzer is moving up and down to sound.
Speakers work fine.
Moving card into different slot does not help.
Drivers uninstalled and reinstaled several times.
Specifications:
Asus CUSL2 Motherboard
800 Mhz Pentium III FCPGA Overclocked to 816 Mhz
128 MB SDRAM
30 GIG Maxtor Hard Drive
Geforce 2 MX
Sound Blaster Live! Value IRQ 5
D-Link Ethernet card (disabled)
HP CD-Writer Plus! 8x4x32
DVD-ROM Drive
Tomorrow trying:
Removal of drivers, installing older drivers, and upgrading drivers
Forcing of IRQ to 9 or 11
Final note:
There is no reported problems with DXDIAG, using the non WDM drivers, and the sound appears to be playing, but there is no sound out of the speakers.
Please advise, Thank You ALL!
