sb16 audio device troubles
Under the devince manager in the audio, it
says sb16 audio device. This is about all
I know about the sound (I got the computer
at a swap meet. It had no software, no
modem, no cd-rom. It did have a sound card.)
Anyway, I am running windows 98. In my
last computer, I had soundblaster 64 AWE.
The sound was perfect, but with this device,
I have to turn the volume up all the way
just to hear stuff. It's not so bad with
games and applications, but using netmeeting,
I can't hear the people talking very well.
It is a good quality sound, but just not
very loud. Any advice. Thanks is advance.

Open up your computer and find out exactly what kind of sound card it is, then get the drivers for the card. Some cards have that problem when using a generic driver.
