vista install.
I am trying to upgrade windows xp professional 32 bit version to windows vista home premium. I am trying to boot off of the install disk and I am getting the message "couldn't find boot mgr". I would appreciate the help with this issue.
can windows xp 32 bit professional be upgraded to windows vista hame premium or does this require a clean install? I am trying to install the upgrade version over windows xp

First off. Usually that message indicates a problem with the disk.
Is this a proper Microsoft disk or a copy or something you downloaded and burned?
No you cannot upgrade XP Pro to Vista Home Premium.
