    Sungoo external HD Win98 drivers

Hello, I'm currently desperatly searching for drivers of an USB external Hard Disk Drive called "Sungoo DSMTU-a".

I bought it back in 2007 and since it worked out of the box with XP and upwards I didn't really care to search for any drivers.
However recently I wanted to connect it to a Windows 98 SE system and it wouldn't work. So after reading the manual I found out that there are extra drivers required for Windows 98.
But when I wanted to get to the manufacturer's website I found out that they either went out of buisness or got merged with some other company. Fact is the driver files are not accessible anymore, the only thing I could find was an archive entry in the wayback.com archive which indicates that there was only one driver available for external hard disks, that's the whole URL -> http://www.sungoo.eu/mediafiles/98/d...k-harddisk.zip
After searching a little bit more I found this site that describes the contents of the archive (the download link just leads to the dead one above) -> http://www.findthatzipfile.com/searc...rddisk.zip.htm

Last but not least the wayback archive link -> http://web.archive.org/web/201004300...www.sungoo.de/

I really hope someone can help me with this (or maybe even has the required files), I had no luck at all with Google

I think being this old, your going to be out of luck with that. Win98 wouldn't work with those types of devices without an actual program to install it.
So unfortunately unless you get incredibly lucky and someone who actually has it sends it to you, it wont work.

I was afraid I would get an answer like this. Well too bad, I guess I have to use another external harddrive that works with Win98SE instead.

    Thanks for the answer though
