    Cool Duplicate names

Using Win 2003 server on Dell PowerEdge 2900. Recently reduced my assigned lease time in DHCP from 2 weeks to 1 day. Now I am receiving errors on start up on various computers indicating "duplicate name exists on network". I even receive these errors on computers that have static ip addressees. No computer name is redundant. Can I rectify this problem? Any suggestions? Many thanks!

It might be that the computers aren't even looking for a new lease until they are scheduled to. I suggest that you go to the start button, type CMD in the command box, and then type "ipconfig /release" and then type "ipconfig /renew" and you should be good, according to both my faulty memory and the local server guy here. Remember that there is a space between the ipconfig command and the forward slash. Good luck!
