    Home Security System

Does anyone have any recommendations or use a Home Security Camera System? I was looking for maybe something wireless that I could record on one my existing PCs or directly on my Windows Home Server. I have seen wired sets with a dedicated DVR and I could go that route but thought all I may need is the cameras and the software.

I combined a wireless camera with a Hauppauge card and that worked BUT the IR for the camera triggered recording even when there was no movement (the IR LED flicker was enough).

Thus, I recommend you research 2 or 4 camera setup reviews, especially for the night time motion detector recording.

I have used a number of different airlink101 cams.
The work pretty good and I think they can record to the
home server if it has the right IP scope.

    Post Consumer Choice Security

I have dogs which is the best and cheapest guard of my house but i can't really rely on them because burglars nowadays are genius in robbing a home. But I do read some alarm system reviews or home monitoring system. Read some feedback and complain about their job with past clients or present clients before purchasing any subscription to them. Get some trial first with there package or products and look for the cheapest but more secured for your home. This way it will be really safe our house for the burglars. Write more blog about home security stuff.

Anybody ever use a software like Blue Iris (http://www.blueirissoftware.com/index.html) on Windows or even Windows Home Server. I was thinking that I could get away with couple POE IP Cameras and some simple software as I think that would be more flexible for me than a properietary DVR Security System. I was looking at maybe a couple of these cameras along with that software should get me started.
