XP Media Center repair install - problems
I am working on a Dell with Windows Media Center installed. The motherboard crashed, so I found another Dell MB and swapped the boards. Well, it blue screened and rebooted itself on any mode I tried to start it under, so I decided to do a repair install. It goes well until it likes 29 minutes to completion. Then I get a prompt telling me "setup cannot find the file *** please insert your windows professional sp2 cd" (Which is not what I am using, I am using the original Dell XP Media Center CD. I can tell it to browse the CD, find the exact file it is looking for, and tell it OK, it goes right back to the same screen, telling me it cannot copy the same file.
I have tried a different DVD burner as well as another Windows Media Center CD. No change.
Please help.

Run chkdsk /r from the console on the CD. Reboot, then run the repair again. If it still can't find the file, skip the file. Do this as often as necessary. when it completes, immediately connect to windows update.
