Just a thought and it may be a good idea
How hard would it be to implement a "like", "thumbs up", or other type of linking for social media? It could possibly give the forum more exposure especially with very useful threads that have been created. Say a new/current user finds a thread for a problem that's been troubling them for a long time, and the solution is in there. They can give the appropriate "like" that links to their social media so their friends and associates can see that they found a good answer from this forum. It could inspire their friends to visit as well to get help and contribute.
One Script to rule them all.
One Script to find them.
One Script to bring them all,
and clean up after itself.

It is a nice idea... This new version of vBulletin has some type if Facebook Connect... But it was disabled as part of the overall performace issues that were experienced after the upgrade.
I think the "like" button/results show here and not on Facebook. (not much help)
I'll forward Niclo's idea to the people upstairs and see that they say.

Don't hold your breath or anything.... But the Editor in Chief likes the idea too and the IT manager says its do-able.
One question that has come up - where to put the button/link.
At the bottom of each thread are links to:
It's still early in the game - but stay tuned
