free long distance phone problem
I have connect to dialpad and it work great, except they cannot hear me when I call. I checked all of the volumes, I have windows98, and volumes are fine. The other solution they gave was I might need to update my sound card drivers. I do not know how to do that. can you help <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> [email protected]

Before changing your drivers you might want to use "Sound Recorder" (Start/programs/accessories/entertainment) to verify that your mic is working and connected properly.
It should allow you to record and play back a short audio clip. If it does not then check your connections, make sure the mic is not muted in the audio properties, and try a different mic.

Also try
Opening two, use one to play a wav that is more than 30 seconds long, and the other to record. If you can record while the other is playing, it is duplex
