windows mci device driver **please help**
ok guys, i will try to make this one short... my system recently crashed on me during the installation of ie 5.5, well after i rebooted, all my drivers seemed to be non-existent... so i had to re-install everything but the operating system.
now whenever i try to burn an audio cd using easy cd creator 4, i get an error message stating that i cannot create an audio, or mixed-mode cd because the windows mci device driver is not installed.
i have uninstalled my sound card drivers, and removed all the multimedia in add/remove programs, and then re-installed and no luck!
easy cd creator 4 is telling me that my .mp3 files are invalid file formats, and i am getting really frustrated!!!!
anyways, my driver is a via ac '97 audio controller... any input would be greatly appreciated.
thanx
