Disappearing sound card drivers
Once in a while I hve no sound when I boot up my computer. If I check my computer, control panel, system ... the device drivers for my sound card are gone. Sometimes just rebooting will bring everything back to normal; sound works and device drivers are back! Other time I have to re-install the drivers manually using add hardware...
Sometimes even this does not work and then I get an exclamation mark for the drivers I just installed and an error code 10 under properties. Help this is really anoying. Is this just a faulty sound card or is it software related ??????????
Thanks

Sounds like a bad sound card to me. When you boot the computer the plug & play is not always sending the signal saying "I'm here" so the computer thinks the card is gone and doesn't load the drivers.
