[RESOLVED] no wav sound in comp

I have a power spec comp Intel Celleron 366
96meg,voodo3 200 agp,tv tuner-capture card,sound caard on mother board.
tv tuner took irq5, sound in irq9. cd plays sound, tv tuner has own sound and works.
However, I casn not get the wavs to play, it shows like it was working but no sound.
can any one help with this problem.

Have you checked the volume control for WAV-OUT?

Open your control panel

find and open multimedia

In the audio setion check the preferred device for playback is correct, if you don't know, experiment with the settings
