    New Age

Since technology has been moving at a rapid pace, I have found that more people are using tablets in the work place for their use instead of laptopsand desktops.I was wondering if Windrivers plans to start any threads in regards to problems that may arise with these items in an office enviroment?

A lot of what you see here and similar sites have come from suggestions like you just made.

We've added a "Mobile Apps" type of section to other sites and they aren't exactly overwhelmed with questions. For the time being - we could use the Tech-To-Tech section of the site.

I have 13 Doctor offices I take care of and the Doctors are starting to use tablets for the EMR applications which are web based. The issue I am staring to run into is the ability to be able to print from the app for the prescriptions.

Had a clinic here back before Apple invented tablets that used Motion Computing tablets with XP on em. We had to upgrade alot of the printers throughout the site to IP printers so we could print to IP and in some cases we printed to server shares. What EMR are you using? Seems we used NexGen and it was pretty flexible for printing to various sources including them little wireless printers, Epson Mobile TM 60's I think they were.
Can't never did anything except whine about what he couldn't do.
Do, or do not. There is no try.

There are several different EMR's being used, Virmedice is one of the main ones. There is no problem printing to any printer as long as the printer is on the device and set as default. It is the tablets trying to find the printer.
