Yes I have ran a repair and of course no go. Not a fresh install yet but it's heading in that direction. Virus maybe?

Now this is just fantastic, I formatted the computer and it still does the same thing. Drive is set to boot first so that's not it.

Called Toshiba and they said it is the motherboad which is what I had come to a conclusion to also. It's under warranty.

    What conclusion can you elaborate?
Last thing I remember, running for the door,
I had to find the passage back to the place
    I was before.

The only time I've encountered this issue has been installing Win7 on systems with multiple HDDs or an SSD and HDD. Anytime I do a Win7 installation, I do it with only a single primary drive connected, then connect additional drives after setup is complete. I'm curious about the outcome, but I doubt a defective motherboard is really to blame. Looking forward to an update, and hopefully some additional info from Toshiba.

If there is a multicard reader, disconnect it when installing windows. Re-connect it after windows loads. My guess is the windows installation is not c:.

Computer Will Boot Only With OS DVD in DVD

When you say it will not boot up, is it just not making it to the log in screen or do you see nothing on the screen at all?
