Logitech Pagescan USB
Hello,
Is there anyway to make a Logitech Pagescan USB device working in a Win 8.1 environment ?
I tried to find drivers on the internet, and I found this :
ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsuppo...agescanusb.txt
I tried to install the drivers (run as admin / compatibility mode : Win98/Me) but it was a dead-end.
Thank you for your help,
narco

Well since that's not even a Logitech file to start with.
It's a 3rd party driver by Stormtech.
And the last drivers were made for XP i believe.
Now did you begin the installation with the pagescan "disconnected"
Likely thats 1 possibility.
Also did you plug it in and look under devices to see if it might just be there.

Yes, and I saw it but it was labelled as "unknown device".

Interestingly enough MS$ has an archived file pointing to WinDrivers as a source for the Win98 upgrade to ME drivers.

That is pretty amazing.

Well, if Steve can't dig it up from a backup disk or whatever, DriverGuide had it also (I make no claims for that source) -> http://www.driverguide.com/driver/de...riverid=120223

I have been able to download these drivers, unfortunately it doesn't work under Windows 8.1, that's why I was wondering if there was an alternative solution or something particular to do to try make my logitech pagescan usb work under win8.1...

There doesn't seem to be anything available.
You can buy an older XP machine for `80$ these days and use that.

No idea what the heck that file is but it does not look like anything that would install a usb scanner.

As I haven't tried to download them, I don't know what you get in this box of chocolates - but I did say "(I make no claims for that source)".

Actually, if YOU UNCHECK the 'use DriverGuides Installer' it indicates you can do a straight download for $2.99.
It's the users choice.
edit: the Storm ftp site still works BUT the download scans as only 7 items AND the actual download is a .exe that is zipped but doesn't expand (no zip compression).
