    Samsung Cell

I have a client working in a Doctor's office and they have their cell phone. They are not connected to the office Wi-Fi as this is not allowed. They showed me their phone is picking up the entries on the browser of a pc in the office. I checked the cell phone and the Wi-Fi is turned off. Can someone explain how this could be happening?

    TIA

Maybe I am a little dense this morning but I do not see where syncing is the problem. The only browser they have is IE, there is no third party software installed, and the owner and I checked the phone carefully and could not find any settings turned on. I do like the article for the info on syncing. Thank you.

You don't have to have WiFi for internet access on many cell phones.

    Two areas to explore:

1 - block device access via wifi
2 - block device access via bluetooth

For 1, I'd think the router just needs mac filtering set up.

For 2, I dunno. Does the affected computer have Bluetooth ?

There phone is turned on with vibrate mode set so she can monitor in case one of her kids should call for emergency. WIFI is set to off. As she is working, she notices that when the office manager who sits about 15-20 feet away starts to make entries into the internet explorer address bar, she receives this info on her phone. I am beginning to think she might have NFC on or maybe the Bluetooth is on. When I get back to that office, I will check the settings.

I would like to see a video of this happening.
Is there a chance that there is a browser sync option enabled?
