Wlan autoconfig
Hi All,
Have a client with a Dell Latitude e7460 that has had the dreaded Black Screen with cursor on boot. The laptop will rapidly boot to login, once logged in it will display the welcome screen, after a few seconds it will present a black screen with cursor, after 5 minutes, the desktop will load.
I have narrowed it down to the WLAN AUTOCONFIG service. If I disable the service from loading at boot, 30 seconds to desktop. with it on, 5 and a half minutes to desktop.
This laptop is one of the Dells that has the dual graphic configuration, and I have seen similar issues with that, but am stumped on the WLAN. I have replaced the WLAN module, done the WLAN AUTOCONFIG repair, Uninstalled the wireless NIC and updated the drivers.
So I present to you all, any wisdom?
Thanks in advance
No matter where you go........there you are.
