[RESOLVED] Windows 98 SE keeps forgetting there's a sound card
I built a computer from old parts laying around (all of which were known good parts). It's a 200mhz pentium with 64meg of ram running W98 SE. It was working fine for several weeks. For some reason this week every time you shutdown the computer it forgets it has a 16 bit plug & play sound card. You have to go to the add new hardware wizard every time and reinstall it. It always finds it, but this is getting to be a pain. Any suggests where to look?

Windows is forgetting it then your battery is probably bad on your mb. But it might not be that trade slots move it up one or down and make sure its all the way in.
