Lenovo B50-30 Touch Human Interface Driver not working

    Hello,

I have a Lenovo B50-30 Touch, and the touchscreen driver has somehow malfunctioned ever since I updated to Windows 10. I was looking for an updated driver all over the net with no avail, including going to the Lenovo site. The driver is from Elan Microelectronics, although some say it's from Microsoft. I used some of the free software without any luck. I also tried to update the HID-Compatible Touchscreen Driver through the Device Manager, and it said it has already been updated. But the driver date is from 6-21-2006. I know many users have had this problem before. So I was just wondering what I could do to fix or at least update the driver.

Try starting on this Lenovo page, click the "Start Scan" button and see if it can help you get figure out what's wrong and how to get it working.

I even did that, but they said my model is not eligible.

After looking through the various threads I found, Microsoft has only the generic driver for this. They suggested you contact Lenovo Support for assistance as they have not made a driver for Windows 10. I would check the compatibility list at the Lenovo website to make sure your system is compatible for Windows 10.
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!

I wish I could do that, but I'm afraid to because my warranty expired a year ago. However, would it still work for users like myself?

    1) Any service after the warranty has expired would not be free.

    2) If no one has created the necessary Windows 10 drivers yet, you'll either have to wait or create them yourself. Another couple of options would be to ignore the touchpad or install another operating system that will support all of the necessary drivers for that particular system.
