I have a mirage z-128 card (et-6000) that was matched with a 75mhz monitor I bought at the (lame) ham fest in St.paul. The price was right and even powers up. I cant get more than 256 colors. I am using the et-6000 drivers as mirage wont help me without buying a new card from them. works fine but it sucks at 256 ... help!!!!

You didnt say how memory it has.
Are you running at a high resolution.
Depending on memory you can get only
certain combos of color and resolution.
I have a riva 128zx with 8 megs and
res at 640x400 @16bit color.
Also check your monitor selection
Standard VGA will give you 16 colors.
