After of week of tech support with Matrox we solved most of the problems by disabling Bus Mastering for the card. Although, it still crashes the Winture Open GL test.

This problem sounds familiar to the G200 when it was first released. This was down to the lack of an OpenGL ICD for the card. A beta version of the ICD was later released which solved a few of the probs. I am informed that Matrox have included a fully functioning ICD with the G400 drivers ( and the Unified drivers ), but there could always be bugs in the ICD that need ironing out.
What is the full spec of the system??

I have found out that some games require patches from the developers, But i cant find out why some of the d3d games which should work well on the G400 have large white squares where the target symbol should be.
Im running a PII 450 , with 96Mb ram, the motherboard has a 2x AGP slot, and its all working well together.
The problems i cant solve yet are
1) blocky target symbols and dust - Rogue sqn
2) no graphics (although there is a patch out I cant get it to work on my UK version - Aliens vs pred.
The rest seem ok after patches are applied.
thanks for your help
