Were the CompTIA A+ exams updated?

Given how fast IT evolves and the introduction of new OS (Vista), I wonder if the exams and test preparation materials were updated to include the changes.

They were last updated in December 2006. I could not find any information on their site.

I have over 2 years unpaid internship experience in hardware/software and 1 year paid work experience.

I would like to get the A+ certification to get my career started.

Since the A+ Certification never expires, take the exam that's given at present. They still go over the basics, fdisking and partitioning drives, creating directories in MS-DOS. creating batch files and startup configs to get the cd-rom going in ms-dos. configuring non pnp peripherals like old nics and modems and sound and graphic cards and scsi cards. correcting irq conflicts and shared resources. A+ basically covers the hardware side of things. There's no difference really between the OSs on installing software.

    Ahh thank you!

Also, I was told (from a member from ProProfs.com) that the exams are updated every 3 years with the last update in 2006. So, the 2009 exam will see the most updated topics including Vista and newer technologies.

    Thank you once again!
