[RESOLVED] Windows Protection Error while online!!!!!!!
Please Help!!!! I have tried everything. Totally formatting my system and re-installing windows.
Everytime I log onto the internet , I receive the message "Windows Protection Error" sometime within the first 10 mins or so. Totally at random and for no apparent reason.
My Pc has worked perfectly for some years and this problem is driving me around the bend as im sure you can imagine.
I have a Pentium class system . 366mhz , 10GB hd, Motorola sm56 modem , Diamond Viperv330 graphics card..
I really would appreciate any advice on this frustrating problem..
Yours hopefully..

Perhaps a problem with the modem driver (I've had some problems like this with Motorola modems) or a conflict with another app running in the background. You could use msconfig to turn off other apps from starting with Windows and see if a cleaner boot helps.

Have had the Motorola Modem for couple of years with no problems of this kind.
Also , which startup items should I and can I disable in msconfig. Forgive me I am not exactly an experienced user!!! Thanks for your help so far.
