game won't run
I recently acquired a copy of an old game called "Silent Steel", but it won't run on my nearly new steup. I have a H-P Pavilion 8240 running Win95 with DirectX and an INDEO 3.2 CODEC driver. When trying to run the game, which is a PC-MPEG CDROM, I get an error message telling me to install "Video for Windows". I have no idea how to go about this. I understand that it is available as freeware on the web, but have downloaded it and it still won't work. Is there a particular folder I should save it to, or what? Help!

Did you run the file you downloaded to install it?

If you have win95 installed you shouldn't need to install video for windows unless you din't have media player installed.
You can install media player from:
Control Panel/Add - Remove Programs/ Windows setup/ Multimedia
Video For Windows was designed for win 3.1 and can cause problems if installed under win95.
