Canon lappy new cmos bat not working
Hello
My Canon 480CDS keeps giving me a cmos battery bad error even with a new cmos batt. I had it soldered for me at a shop so I thought, "The connectors may be backwards" So I reversed them and the batt still won't work.
If I read the GTA (Guide to Operations) right I should let the unit stay powered to charge up the cmos batt. Is this true or do I need to chunk the battery and sell what's left on Ebay as a junker?
Thanks
Kturner

leave it plugged in for a day or two and try it again then. if its still not working, take it to a canon authorized repair center in your area. if you give canon a call or check their web page, you should find someone around your area that can fix it properly.

Be advised Mr/Ms Angel that the main battery is bad. I will leave it on a charge to see if it behaves if not see ya at Ebay
