Have a user who has a new IBM T40 laptop running Windows Xp and a desktop as well she has them connected with a KVM switch and when you go from desk top to lap top you can't use the mouse any more on the laptop. only seen this on this series of laptops T40's. I have updated bios and same issue any one seen this and do I do to make both work.

Do you mean the mouse attached to the kvm switch or the mouse built into the laptop?

I had the same problem this week with an Eletron brand CPU switch, so I interested to hear the answer. I am sure the problem is with the mouse attached to the kvm switch.

Im thinking its something to do with the touchpad driver... it is not technically a mouse....
