ADS Dual Link Cardbus Problem - Please help
Happy New Year to all of you!
Hope someone could help me with this problem -
ADS Dual Link Cardbus card DLX181 doesnt work.
System -
Dell Inspiron 8000 W2K SP4
Installed BIOS update from Dell website
Installed Windows Update
Installed the Ali drivers that came with the card
Still the card wont be recognized.
If I manually add the Ali driver(ALI-EHCI-156) thru Update Driver, it shows Code 10 problem.
I read thru the forum and see that new drivers could help. But I couldnt get to these file from these links in the forum.
ftp://www.ali.com.tw/driver/int205.zip
ftp://www.ali.com.tw/driver/Integrated207.exe
Do you have the new links if it has been changed now. Or if anyone has the files, could you please send it to me, so I can give it a try.
Or if you have any other suggestions to help fix this, please HELP!
A little history that might be useful for analyzing this problems-
The card was not recognized from the begining. I was updating windows update and before rebooting, I inserted the card - just to check, it recognized it and windows said, it has to reboot for the changes to take effect. But after I rebooted, it didnt work. I still dont understand why it worked that one time.
Thanks
Sudha

Welcome to Windrivers Eeehaa - return it - some laptops and some cards just don't get along. Take the laptop along with you so that you can prove it, you can also then get a new card and try it in front of the people who are selling it to you.
