Resolved [RESOLVED] DirectX CRASHES on DEC Starion 910

I've got a DEC Starion 910 w/ 40MB RAM running Win95 w/ Service Pack 1 and Win95 Plus. Motherboard has an S3 Trio 732 video chip w/ 1MB video RAM and the PC's still got original Diamond TeleCommander 2500 sound card/modem comdo. Last year for Christmas my son got Mattel's "Hotwheels Custom Car Designer" which came with DirectX 3. The Hotwheels software crashes almost everytime soon after startup. If not, it crashes within 1 minute. Gives something like "DDHELP caused GPF in WSTREAM.DLL". Tried DirectX 5 and just recently, DirectX 6. I've also tried to find updated drivers for the video chip (that's what Mattel told me the problem was last year), but I couldn't find any from DEC's WWW site, S3's WWW site (all are 1996 file dates and mine are 1997), or others. I'm not sure where those 1997 drivers in my C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory came from but s3.vxd and s3.drv both have July 1997 file dates and Control Panel>System>Device Manager>Display Adapters>Properties>Drivers tab reports same (copyright) date. Supervga.drv is 1995 file date and 4.00.950 in Control Panel. S3.vxd is 4.10.1555 and s3.dvr is 4.10.00.1555. Any help on this DIRECTX PROBLEM would be greatly appreciated. This is about the ONLY software that a CAN'T run on my PC!!!!!!
