    Wink Automatic Disconnect

    I have an IBM I Series 1200 Laptop running Windows ME with a Lucent Modem that is disconecting itself seconds after logging on to my company network. Any Suggestions? [email protected]

    Does it do the same when connecting to a ISP?

    Update...: No it doesn't. ISP Connections are fine.

    then something server side is disconnecting you or the phone line you are connecting to has some static on it which is causing the connection to become unstable and dropped. have the guys/gals at work check the logs to see why the disconnect occured.

    Also make sure that the work line is not set to do an automatic call back.

    While the IBM site may not have an update for your modem, you can always get the latest code from lucent ... sometimes the server side connection may not like the lucent modem. Upgrading the driver may fix this.
