Satellite 1800 Series S100' s CPU
Hy every1, I'm planning to buy a laptop and possibility a Satellite 1800 Series S100. However I'm a bit comfused with the L1 16KB internal cache it has becuse other celeron has 32k L1 cache. Does any1 know what difference does the 16k of L1 cache makes? Any comments?
And is 2 hours (said Toshiba) battery life good for that price? and what else that I should look for when purchaing a laptop?
Thanks in advance

Hi Worldsci,
be cool man in that computer ther's no where mention it has 16kb cache it's 32kb L1 cache look at the brouchre very carefully. and the other thing is battery life will be 3 to 31/2 hours not 2. and this is great if your a middlerange man. look for the waranty also when you're purchasing a notebook. if you're using graphics intensive work and using digital camera better run for the satellite 3000 module cause it got the smart media intergrated and a nVIDIA gforce 2 16mb vga card for superb graphics. call me of you wanna more details.

Yes, the TEPP (Toshiba extended protection plan) is offered by Toshiba, and is honured at any repair depot that you bring it to.
You have to ask your sales person about it at the time of purchase though
