    Red face Cannot remove mcAfee!

    I cannot remove mcAfee virus scan 100% from my computer. Its version is 5.12. When I start outlook 2000, it always shows message "The add-in "C:\program files\McAfee\McAfee VirusScan\scanemal.dll" could not be installed or loaded" Can anyone help me? It is no matter to fix mcAfee itself or outlook2000. Thank you.

    You might try going into Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup and kill anything that relates to McAfee...that should get rid of your error message.

    Then Clean up the registry with the find option.

    this wont work, I have the same problem you need to contact mcaffee and they well send you a program or manual on how to completly remove it from your computer.

    I had the same problem, so I changed back to the old version. I did everything to try to remove it, but nothing worked...my advise is to get a different AV program. I now use InnoculateIT...Just my 2 cents <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
