[RESOLVED] Windows XP Professional - internet auto disconnect
I've upgraded from Windows 2000 Professional to Windows XP Professional and appear to have lost the auto disconnect prompt after leaving the internet. This prompt was very useful for younger members of my family as it reminded them to disconnect the modem once they'd finished on the web. Can anyone tell me if this prompt is avaialble in XP and if it is, how to set it up?

Control Panel/Phone Modem/ Select your modem, go to properties/advanced change default preferences, and there you'll see the disconnect dialogue box. That'll be where you enable the autodisconnect feature, although I don't know if it gives you a warning when it's about to do so...I think yes, but I'm not sure.
