amd k6-2 350 problems with 3dfx
I am in search for info from anyone that knows of any problems with amd k6-2 350 and monster 3d voodoo cards. I upgraded my system from a pentium 200 mhz mmx to a amd k6-2 350 with new motherboard and ram added. Since then I have not been able to display 3dfx software. I do have an older monitor (zenith data systems zcm-1141) It worked with no problem before could my monitor be unable to handle the new processor?

download the latest reference drivers for your voodoo card from http://www.3dfx.com which have the 3D Now! optimisation code in them. This might solve your problem

I upgraded to the same cpu, and also new motherboard and ram; had a hell of a time. The fix that worked was at Microsoft's page.Search for "AMD K6 2/350" and download the patch. Make sure that you install it while in Safe Mode. This only applies to Win95 SR2 version.

Also make sure that you have the latest BIOS update for your motherboard and your motherboard's latest AGP drivers.

Just added the card today! Only one problem, it didn't work! So I looked at the motherboard manual (Asus P5A the best board around) and I have to install a agp driver/program for it to work. put in old card, install driver, put in new card, tada!!!!!! Everything worked great! You should see quake now! Intel what? Who are they?
It should be right on your cd they gave you where ever you bought it.

Why do I like iMacs so much? Because they have handles so I can throw them farther.
