PPPoA over PPPoE
I'm in a time crunch on this one.
I ordered DSL for a new branch, called tech support and asked if it supported PPPoE (so my internet sharing device would work and I could get the VPN's to all run through one IP address,) he said it was PPPoE. Equipment comes (late) branch opening in two days, their service is PPPoA. I already had them shift me to a static IP address (should be done by wednesday) and a tech said that he had heard that people had gotten PPPoE to work over PPPoA but no idea how. Any ideas? Equipment is a 3com Office connect DSL modem, and a NexLand 800 Internet Sharing device with static ip, dhcp, and PPPoE support. I have no idea if the static IP deal will work (wouldn't PPPoA still require authentication?)
