    Post Toshiba 2515CDS notebook

    I got this thing from a friend.... I cant get into the BIOS cause there is a password, and my friend dont remember what it is.... How do I disable the password on this thing(Toshiba 2515CDS)

    Remove the Battery on the board for five minutes. or fing the Clear cmos jumper.
    But you have a Notebook so I can't be sure if these things will work for you.

    There is no jumper on the Toshibas. To remove a password you have to have a parallel loopback that has some of the pins looped together. I have the pinout at work and Ill post back Monday if you like (that is if I can find it) All ya gotta do is turn the machine on with the loopback and it will remove the password.

    good thing I never threw out the paper with the pinout on it.

    2-32
    1-13
    31-10
    36-11
    14-12


    put that on the parallel port and start the machine holding the esc key. this will get you into the bios and let you remove the password.

    Hey, thanks for the info.... I got my soldering Iron and solder, now all I gotta do is get a parallel plug and some wires..... Thanks again...
