Software for Windows 95...
My mom has Risk (written for windows 95) That won't install on xp..
Is there any way to force the instalation, as it just comes up with the This software was written for windows 95 error...
It runs fine on other os's.. I think it might run if i upgrade her computer from 98 to xp, but I would rather do a clean install...
Any Suggestions??

Unfortunately, you can't do anything to install it. I have lots of programs I need, but can't run them on WinXP.

You might be able to get around it by creating a shortcut to the install program on your desktop & setting compatibility mode for the shortcut to Windows 95 or Windows 98/ME. I don't know if you've tried this or not, but I know it worked for a few games that gave me the "This program will not install in an NT environment" error in Windows 2000, such as Need for Speed 3.

Most of the times the Compatibility Mode is not working for me. Just FYI..

Thanks, I'll definateley try that Cobra,
If it doesn't work, she'll have to decide whats more important to her winXP or her old games..
