Donating CPU idle time...
So, which service do YOU donate your CPU idle time to? The United Devices cancer research project, the SETI@Home search for aliens, the Distributed.net RC5 and/or OGR projects, or something else?
And more importantly, why?
I run the RC5 project on my systems, because the client is very CPU friendly (I can run Deus Ex with the cruncher running in the background!), there is a definate end point (unlike SETI), and if I discover the correct answer, I get money!
I'm currently #5,957 overall out of nearly 300,000 Distributed.net users, running at 12 MKeys/sec yesterday.
