Have you seen the error " A file that is required to run search companion is missing, you may need to run setup." Is this something with the Dog? I think we could run the repair option, but an XP oem version doesn't seem to have this option unless you get the boot floppies from MS, and get to a recovery console. When you have this error, there is no way to kill the dog in customize preferences in the search window that I could see.
