gigabyte ethernet controller problem
new install - windows xp pro - brand new mobo Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 (rev 2.0) device manager shows unknown device for ethernet controller - which is built into the board. the installation cd installs a "suite" of drivers - some requiring sp1/sp2 installed - beings i can not get the updates yet i just need the ethernet controller for now. device manager will not install driver from the cd. drivers download from cd or website installs and then crashes computer - reboots and reports it recovered from a serious error. please help
