Power supply question
Would a PC that has suffered from a power supply brownout (Monitor has no signal, USB peripherals has no power, HDD stops spinning yet case still has green power light on) have a burned out or weakened power supply? This brownout was caused by a brief lack of power in our high voltage industrial area. The PC has a surge protector but it was not surges that caused this problem, it was the opposite.
It is running only two USB non powered peripherals (ADSL modem and Graphics tablet)
The PC powers up again after fiddling with the power input plug (basically uplugging and replugging it in with electrical shorting out sounds) If the cord is not in properly the PC won't work.
Thanks in advance for any help
And Happy New Year
