    Resolved [RESOLVED] Epox MVP-4M

Has anyone ever heard of the PS/2 port just stop working? Mine just did this. Went to bed, puter was working fine, next day, no mouse. I'm running a dual boot win2k-win Me. Mouse wouldn't work in either. I did notice when I was just running 2K alone, that every once in a while after initial boot, I wouldn't have a mouse. after a few re-boots, it would come back. Now, it's just dead. I had a ps/2 to serial adapter, and the mouse works fine, so I know it's good. Any ideas? I don't even know what component/chip runs the PS/2 port. I even re-installed win Me, just to see if that would fix it. Didn't. Also, when I would go into sys propertys, no mouse, and the computer wouldn't recognise it when running "Add new hardware" damnest thing...

Try getting a regular PS/2 mouse without the adapter. Those adapters can go screwy sometimes... Good Luck...

Just to clarify, the mouse is a PS/2 mouse, but i had a PS/2 to serial adapter laying around in my "box-o-stuff" that I used.
