[RESOLVED] Standy mode gone
I am trying to setup a Compaq computer with the option of going into standby mode. According to the agent, he used to be able to set his computer on sleep mode. Now that option is gone. How do I put standby back on the shutdown menu?
On a windows 98 machine.
Thanks in advance.

This will do it for ya.
The link is to a Dell KB article on this issue. Fix the compaq with it and laugh a little. http://support.dell.com/us/en/kb/doc...p?DN=TT1019695

Thanks guys, you really helped me out. You're right, Compaqs suck, but they keep me in business. Same with Windows. I love to leave my business card with people who have Compaqs because I know they will eventually call me.
