    Mitsumi CD Writer

(cheap when cd writers were expensive and never failed me in the 3 years I've been using it)

Unbranded external 56k modem (rockwell chipset)

(this wonderful modem has followed my though 3 computers, really appreciate serial modems, simple and NEVER have driver issues...well mostly not :-)

    HP inkjet printers

Epsons may have a slight edge in the photographic printouts but for everday use the HPs beat them on plain paper.

    Cool

My list is a lot like the others seen on this post. I have had good and bad stuff from all kinds of comanies. But the one company that has never, and The Rock means NEVER, let me down has been Plextor. I started working with Plextor drives back in 95. I have yet to see one fail. Maybe it is good luck or good timing, but Plextor still has my praise for making the best damn cd-roms/cdr/cdrw out there. There may be faster burners or cdroms out there, but I love Plextor because of the reliability they have. To me, that is what really counts.
