Win98 2nd Ed. Shutdown
When shutting down from start menu, it freezes on shutting down screen, tried a couple of patches, no success. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Try reading this thread in the Win 98 section , there a lot of links there and a lot of "shut-down" questions in that section . Good luck

Also check if the users are using MS OFfice 97, service release 2 corrects a shutdown problem where Office doesn't release network connections, I had the same probs in my office using Win95 and 98SE and the office update fixed most of them. One of the other probs was Intel 10/100 Nic's had issues with the wake on LAN not letting the system shutdown, a driver update fixed some of those, the MS Shutdown supplement fixed the rest.
Good luck.
