i don't use nero's wizard!!!
well the problem is that i can't burn any Audio-cd (for cd players)

i can burn data-CD with no problems even under X16 but i can't an audio-cd

i've try track-at-once and disk-at-once but none of them worked...

error message is always different if it is important i'll post it here

P.S. is there any program that burns under DOS?

why not use the wizard?

also try turning the burn speed down to 4 or 8 , as audio extraction is different than data.

also I note your question states "CD-rw " ,,,,RWs do NOT work on the "average home/car cd player

try d/loading a copy of clone-cd , (evaluation copy) from www.elby.org , and try that.

yes the error messages are inportant , they may actually tell you what the fault is.

And the answer to your last question RE: dos writing ,yes there is (are) , but as they tend to be a complicated string of dos (to type) you would (for the time being) be better sticking to windows.

so why do you need 2x CDs

copy from (sorce) D: copy to d: , put music cd in writer copy from d: to d: ,,clone cd reads cd , spits it out and asks for blank disk.

NO converting to do ,,,,click, click done.

same with nero using wizard.

are you trying to copy cda files onto your h/d and then burn?

yes dont worry about the scsi thing.

how is this burner set up? , ie u said u only had 1 machine.
with clone u copy an image to h/d and then write it (swop disk) ,why not try to just copy an image ie read to image file , then from image to disk, is it jibbing on the read or write ,,,slow bown the read speed, I think the demo version only writes at 2 speed,

alternately try another brand of cd,s if u email me i will send u links or zips of good "rippers" to rip the audio onto drive then write with nero etc.

heh

This is bit funy,really

this web page clames that i need to upgrate firmware or to reinstall windows from new in order to burn audio CD's!!
now i've install win98 i've "IMG" my audio-cd and from nero i've burn it...
the burning was ok,but when i play that CD on my DVD-player first 2 tracks have nice sound but other 20 songs had "nasty" sound.I've try same thing with cd-clovne3 (that u gave me) it happened same thing as nero!
should i update my firmware again? will it help?

any way, now i'm on win2k i'll convert mp3 to the *.wav and than i'll give it a shoot with nero

P.S. cd-clovne v.3 didn't show on what speed does it writes

yes i agree that the link ( http://8ballshardware.com/articles/yamaha161040/update.cfm ) does say that there is a problem with audio ,

is the unit "new" ?

if so 2 options , take it back and ask them to replace the unit /upgrade the firmware /replace by different model.

d/load the firmware and do the upgrade , i have never done a yam , although have updated my plextor twice.

If this a known problem then yam should have organised the firmware upgrade with the suppliers ,

why do you have to risk the 1% chance of ruining the burner?

i,ve goy the yam 8824 scsi (almost 12m old) and no upgrade needed/available.

good luck.

i really don't know the reason why yamaha can't burn under win2k, weird...
i didn't know that stupid x9 OS can save me from killing my self

Yeah i have latest firmware

i have a guarantee but to change to other unit i don't see way to fix it.

Thank you verry much freddy for helping me
