My CD Rom reads data CDs ok but when I try to plsy and audio CD, although the "CD Player" indicates that the CD is playing, no sound is produced. My sound card is working OK for other applications. Win 95 Pentium 100

[Eagle PC Diagnostech]

Check the audio cable on the inside of your computer. The one that goes from the CD-ROM to the sound card. Red wire is pin 1. If it is properly installed, try another cable.
