[RESOLVED] Hard Disk Partitioning
Hi Guys
Anyone know if if's poss to re-size partitions with W2k? I've got Partition Magic 5 which won't work with W2k & I'm too tight to buy the latest version.
Any help appreciated

TVR,
Try applying the 5.01 patch which provides support for Win2k Professional. You can get the patch here: http://www.powerquest.com/updates/pm501updates.html

Can a partition be resized without using an application like Partition Magic, but just using Disk Management in Win2K? I have two partitions I need to combine into one..
Thanks for any help on this..

not without using a 3rd party utility.
win2K disc manager does not give you that option.

My other option would be to wipe it clean and start over, right?
Thanks for the confirmation on the third party software..

'fraid so...wish it did give you the option to mess with the partitions in that way. But for now 3rd party utilities or repartitioning is the only way to go.
